Random title… June 3, 2011

Yes…not sure what to title this one. Well tomorrow is my last day at the Boardwalk…thank God! Now don’t get me wrong, the resort is beautiful, and the view that comes along with it is great. I’d have to say that both the CPs and Part and Full timers have been the nicest ones I’ve worked with…but working there is just so confusing! There are far to many things I don’t know there…like all the stuff you have to know (or perhaps should know) if you’re in the ESPN store. I don’t know enough about sports or sport teams to help people there. I mean, it’s like this for me:

Guest: “Do you have any Steelers stuff?”

Me: “…Steelers…that’s football right?”

Guest: *Laughing* “Yes.”

Me: “Sorry, I don’t normally work here…and I know nothing about sports. I do know though, that what ever is out..is what they have.”

And that’s how almost every conversation goes for me there…

Ugh…it’s just so hard…I’ll be glad to be going back to the Grand, where at least I know what is in each store. But my time there is almost up, I’ll be in attractions soon, and I should find out where I’ll be soon as well. Fingers crossed for The Lion King show!

Anyways..today I don’t start until 5:30 (YUCK), so I went to Downtown Disney for a bit…I mean, why not? And they had their performing arts thing going on, and there was going to be a middle school show choir performing, people were advertising it, and I thought I might as well go and see it.

I wish I hadn’t.

Thank goodness Simon Cowell wasn’t there, I think he would have teared them apart! Since when does screaming qualify as singing? The mics will get your voice to us, don’t make it any louder than it already is! And please, stay on key! And stop singing from your nose! There were times when they sounded good…when they all sang together. And some of them sounded okay by themselves, I understand…they’re middle schoolers, their voices are still developing, but still, maybe they should sing songs that aren’t so wildly ranged? Kid, I don’t know how old you are, but I don’t think your voice is ready to pull off Freddie Mercury, especially Freddie Mercury singing “Bohemian Rhapsody”.  Please I’d like to keep my hearing while I still have it

Why can’t you guys stay in sync? There were times when you guys did great with your dance moves, but other times you were off!  Little red-haired kid who was always in the front, do you know the words or are you mouthing Watermelon, cantaloupe, and the other fruit you’re supposed to mouth when you don’t know the words? Yes I can see you not singing! And yes it makes you stick out like a sore thumb! I was in choir…I know these things!

So to wrap it up, they weren’t amazing, and they weren’t really bad. They were a middle school show choir, and once their voices develop more I’m sure most of them will sound really good. I think they should have picked better songs, because the ones they picked where rather hard to sing.

Anyways…that’s really about it. I kinda just wrote my first review! Maybe one day I’ll be writing one for a play, book, or movie!

Well…Simon is mean to middle schoolers on his show the X factor. I really think the songs they picked were to hard for them to sing.

I’ve had a few trips to Starbucks…and a couple of park trips. No dinner out for a while…waiting for you guys to come down!
